update on Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani

David towards the end of his life - part 2

As noted in part 1, of course, David was a murderer but not as a criminal.  I cannot hold this against him because he carried out these executions as either a warrior (Goliath) or as king.  Who can stand against the king?

One thing should be clear.  He also tried to kill Uriah for selfish reasons, and behold, the Lord was not pleased with it (though he was not an Israelite) and the consequences were real, unbearable, and were carried out right before David's eyes.

David reaped the consequences for this murder (and adultery with Uriah's wife), full and well.

David towards the end of his life

Kings1 2:5  "Moreover, you also know what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, how he dealt with the two commanders of the armies of Israel, Abner the son of Ner, and Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed, avenging in time of peace for blood that had been shed in war, and putting the blood of war on the belt around his waist and on the sandals on his feet.

Time of writing: 11:18 PM 10/8/2011

Last night, before sleeping, I was thinking of David, how he later in his life, i thought, he reduced killing people.  But I was wrong.

This morning when I read this verse, I was shocked.  He was a killer and even at his death bed talking (advicing) about killing people to his son (would be king of Israel).

If it were war, that's a different story.  No wonder, the Lord would not allow him to build the temple, because his hands were bloody!

One thing, is sure, most (not all) his killings were in war or war related.  Yet a significant amout of his killings are not war related.

I was glad he did not kill the man who cursed him when he was running from Absolom, but towards the end of his life, in this chapter, he tells his son to do the killing for him.

I wonder, was that his last wish, apart from advicing (first part hos his advice) his son to follow in the footsteps of the Lord and please him.

Okay, in conclusion, David was a very bloody man.  Thank God, Solomon did not follow in this step(so much) but followed other footsteps (many concubines) of his daddy.  Oh, did he beat his daddy in this (smile).

Pastor youcef is still alive.

His life is in danger due to other kinds of allegations like zionism, rape (false allegations).

Here is a link to an updated video on ACLJ (who are closely fighting/following on this issue).

The KJV NIV

Today, I stumbled upon this article which I think is worth linking to.

This article clearly lays out who 'adds' and who 'removes' from the Scriptures.

Here is the link to it.

In case the link does not work, here is the link to the local copy of the article on preachword.com.
